Food Packs

Description

Food is the foremost basic need of an individual. However, according to the World Food Program, as many as 828 million people will go to bed hungry each night. According to UNICEF approximately 2.4 billion individuals, largely women, and residents of rural areas did not have consistent access to nutritious, safe, and sufficient food in 2022. On top of all, child malnutrition is still alarmingly high. In 2021, 22.3% (148.1 million) children were stunted, 6.8% (45 million) were wasted, and 5.6% (37 million) were overweight.

Our attempts to overcome this issue completely one day is still being continued with the help of our dedicated volunteers and active support from all part of the community we are working with.

Food support for families: 24% of people in Bangladesh live under the poverty line. For these people, it is quite hard to manage even a full meal a day. Moreover, during and after covid-19 pandemic more families are facing this problem due to economic difficulties and job loss. We continue our endeavours to ensure food security as much as we can for these people. Therefore, we provide food support to families who are struggling to get rid of the misery of hunger.

Also, we tend to donate food packs to families during different social and religious festivals so that people can celebrate these days with joy which would give them the feeling of companionship.

Ready meals: In Bangladesh, a significant number of people live on the streets. For them, we provide cooked food from time to time as it is sometimes difficult to prepare meals by themselves. On top of this, we serve ready meals to flood-affected people as well as people in other humanitarian crises.
